Here is the Pre picture of my shackles. I already had the insert in the frame for them, but on the drivers side the headers from the original 6 cylinder was in the way of the shackle bolt. Once I had the V8 installed into it, that gave me room for the bolt.
Here is the new position of the shackle. There is no weight on the spring right now, that is why it is in a vertical position.
Here is the drivers side of the front.
Here you can see the extra long shackles that I used to keep the vehicle level. Now that I have the shackles in the right position, the back of the cruiser is lower than the front. I have already talked to the company that built my rear springs for me and they said it would cost about $60 to get the rear springs arched enough to level out the cruiser.
This is the drivers side of it.
This is the new position of the shackle bolt. I just drilled it to a span of 5". This gives me a better length of shackle.
This is the new position of the rear. Once I get the rear springs arched more, the shackle level will be where it is supose to be. I will try to see what the flex is now that the shackles are where they are supose to be.
